Our school is situated a few minutes walk from the middle of the village and the Severn estuary. The school was opened in 1969 and is housed in a large building so our pupils benefit from plenty of space.  The school also possesses very attractive school grounds including a large playing field and its own school kitchen so meals are cooked on the premises.

One of our strengths is our provision for ICT.  We have a computer suite containing 15 brand new computers and all classrooms have interactive whiteboards, including the Reception class.

We enrolled on the Schools for Health programme last year and have recently heard that we have achieved ‘Healthy Schools’ status.

Because Severn Beach Primary is within walking distance of a great natural resource, the River Severn, pupils can easily study the river environment. For example, Year 3/4 have been working with the Avon Wildlife Trust on a ‘Severn Wonders’ environmental project.
