Welcome to our school!

Severn Beach is a small primary school for pupils between 4 and 11 years of age. We have approximately 90 pupils on roll. The school opened in 1969 and is well within walking distance of most houses and the local playgroup. All areas lead from our spacious hall, which is used for assemblies, PE and dining, as well as for concerts. Our younger pupils use three adjacent classrooms on the ground floor. All three classrooms have doors leading on to the playground and our Reception class has an enclosed play area. We have a food technology room and a computer suite. Classrooms for our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 pupils are up a flight of stairs.

Our grounds are spacious, with two linked play areas and extensive grassed areas used for football and other sports. All of our classrooms are fully carpeted and all have a sink.
The interior of the school is well maintained, stimulating and welcoming for pupils, visitors and staff. We all take pride in our surroundings and work together to keep it looking attractive. Visitors will notice the value we place on pupils' work through the quality and quantity of displays, both in the classroom and in shared areas of the school.
Our classes are organised on a mixed year group basis, however, where numbers allow, single aged classes are preferred.

We are well supported by our 'Friends of Severn Beach School' and, with their help, play an active role in the life of the village. We hold regular fayres, pupils' discos and bingo evenings, and we remember the senior citizens through distribution of Harvest parcels and performances at Christmas. All are welcome to join us at our Friday 'Achievement Assembly', in addition to the special assemblies and concerts we hold throughout the year.
